About Mathematics Association -
The
Mathematics Association of IIT Bombay was formed in 1978 as a student body organization aimed to bring about
awareness, generate and promote interest, and facilitate communication among
students of various age groups with an interest in Mathematics. It
has been very successful in identifying and nurturing young talent in
Mathematics.
Targeted at motivating and encouraging student participation, this association aims to host activities at national level in the coming years.
The quickly growing popularity of the association is not only a success for the association but for Mathematics itself

About Olympiad :-
Mathematics Olympiad is a talent search event involving schools from Mumbai and nearby districts. The 1st Mathematics Olympiad was held in 1981. This year the Mathematics Association is organizing the 36th Mathematics Olympiad. This is a platform for students to
challenge themselves and test their Mathematical knowledge and skills. The goal of Mathematics Olympiad is to stimulate enthusiasm and love for mathematics, to strengthen mathematical intuition, foster mathematical creativity, ingenuity, and provide satisfaction, joy and thrill of meeting challenges. It is a great opportunity for the participating students to experience the atmosphere of IIT Bombay, which is one of the premium academic institutionsof the country. It is also a great opportunity for students to prepare for other competitive examinations that they would face in the future.

Registration:-

1.Students can register themselves at www.math.iitb.ac.in/~assoc/mo latest by 25th December 2016.
2.Payment will be facilitated through SBI payment portal whose link will become available after registration.

1. Completely filled Registration form/ printout of the online form should reach MathematicsAssociation latest by 10th January 2017.
2.The registration fee should be sent in the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘MathematicsAssociation of IIT Bombay’payable at Mumbai.
3.The schools are requested to collect the application forms and fees from all the interested students and send the forms with a single Demand Draft which should be attached with a covering letter with the number of applications , details of students, DD amount, DD number & date.4.Individual applications will also be accepted.
5.Applicants are requested to bring a photocopy of the completely filled registration form on the day of the exam for cross verification. Students are required to carry a copy their Admit Cards (available
on the website/Email a week prior to the Examination)
